Which documents are required to make a reservation and do I need a visa?
To make a ferry booking you must have your national ID card or passport to hand.

What’s the difference between a Schengen France visa and a St. Barth visa?
A Schengen France visa allows travel to mainland France and other Schengen countries in Europe. However, Saint-Barthélemy (St. Barth) is not part of the Schengen Area, so it requires a separate French national visa. A Schengen visa does not allow entry into St. Barth; You must apply for a separate French national visa for overseas territories.
How do I book a ferry?
To book a ferry trip, simply browse our website. Fill the route you are interested in* then follow the links to the booking page, alternatively you can access the booking form directly from here: https://greatbayferry.liknoss.com/english/npgres.exe?PM=BM
*Page is already set for roundtrip all 4 boxes must be filled in and dates selected
And for one way only delete a trip and all 2 boxes must be filled in.
If I didn’t receive my ticket email—what should I do?
First, check your spam or junk folder for Great Bay Express booking and ecommerce emails
If you still can’t find it, please contact us at infogreatbayferry@bobbysmarina.com with your name and last 4 digits of your credit card, and we will resend your ticket.
Will I receive a physical ticket?
No, you will receive a reservation number via email after completing your booking. You can present it on your mobile device or print it before boarding and tickets will be printed at the counter during check-in.
Can I book for multiple passengers?
Yes, you can book tickets for 9 passengers max in a single transaction.
Can I change my booking?
Yes, booking can be changed at the counter during check-in or few days prior, free of charge. But you are only able to change date and only time.
What happens to my booking if I miss my departure?
Your booking remains valid for 1 year to use as credit or for the following trip, if you miss your departure.
What if I chose to no longer travel?
Due to our terms and conditions our reservation is 100% non-refundable and remains as a credit for 1 year and it’s easily transferable.
Where can I find the directions to reach the port for check-in and embarkation?
St Maarten office is located on Bobby’s Marina in Philipsburg.
St Barth office is located on the marina in Gustavia.
What time should I arrive before departure?
We recommend arriving at least 45 minutes to 1 hour before departure for check-in and boarding.
How does the booking system work?
The online booking system allows you to make reservations in real time, you can book in advance or on the same day travel. Just follow these simple steps:
STEP 1: select your preferred itinerary and fill out all 4 boxes and if it’s only one way you delete a trip and fill out all 2 boxes and select your dates. Then indicate the number of passengers.
STEP 2: select your departure times, passenger type and class
STEP 3: find out the price
STEP 4: enter passenger information
STEP 5: enter contact details and accept our terms and conditions and consent to privacy.
Then click BOOK NOW, and you will confirm the booking by making a payment by credit or debit card (your card number, expiry date, cvv and name of card holder will be requested to make the payment). Then your reservation request will be processed within minutes, subject to availability. Before confirming, please read the general conditions of travel. You can find out the arrival and departure times and the duration of the journey for each route on our website. Please be aware that these times can be subject to change due to unforeseen weather conditions. You can also find out the frequency of ferries on each route on our site; they are generally daily or weekly.
